It is also known as Nek Chand’s Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. The garden is spread over an area of forty acres (160,000 sq.m.). Sculptures are made using bottles, glasses, bangles, tiles, ceramic pots, sinks and electrical waste. Also known as Zakir Hussain Rose Garden after the former president of India, this garden is spread over 30 acres and is decked up with an exquisite variety of flowers making it quite popular among tourists and nature enthusiasts. Morning visit Hadimba Devi Temple: The Hadimba Temple is a unique shrine dedicated to Hadimba Devi, who was the wife of Bhīma and mother of Ghatothkach. Surrounded by gorgeous cedar forests, this beautiful shrine is built on a rock which is believed to be in the image of goddess Hadimba herself. & MANU TEMPLE: Manu Temple is an old temple located at a distance of 3 km from the main market of Manali. The entire shrine of Manu Temple is dedicated to Manu – the Indian Sage, who was acknowledged to be the creator of this world. In fact, some legends rely heavily on the fact that the present-day temple is the exact place where sage Manu would meditate regularly. & Evening free for local Mall Road exploration. Start journey after breakfast. Today you will cross lots of magnificent views never to be seen before and also will cross a small lake Suraj Tal, a place called Zing Zing Bar later another highest pass Baralacha La which is located at elevation of 4890 mtr (1604ft). Afternoon visit GURUDWARA PATHAR SAHIB: Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, most revered place where Guru Nanak Dev ji, founder of the Sikh religion is believed to have conquered a demon. Legend has it that once Guru Nakak ji was meditating at this place and a demon had thrown a big rock to obstruct his prayers but the boulder turned into soft wax that failed to harm him, seeing this the demon asked for penance for his deed and Guru Nanak ji forgave him. The boulder with the imprint of the body of Guru Nanak Dev and the footprint of the demon is on display in Gurdwara Pathar Sahib. MAGNETIC HILLS: Magnetic Hill is one of the most intriguing spots in the country. This tiny hillock is said to defy gravity as it tends to pull vehicles upwards. It is quite thrilling to defy the laws of science and be pulled in the opposite direction. The scientific theory states that there is a strong magnetic force emanating from the hills that defies gravity at this particular spot. HALL OF FAME: Hall of Fame is a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars. The Hall of Fame museum is located on the Leh-Kargil Road, about 4km from the city of Leh. Start early morning after breakfast and start the journey toward Khardung La Pass 18380 Ft. The all-weather highest motorable road in the World. Further continue the journey toward Nubra Valley. Next halt will be at Siachen base transit camp at North pullu. Later visit DISKIT MONASTERY: Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India. It belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong Khapa, founder of Gelugpa, in the 14th century., spend time at HUNDER SAND DUNES:, Hunder Sand Dunes is a famous silk route. Enjoy the scenic beauty and reach the sand dunes to capture a beautiful evening. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides in the high altitude cold desert. After breakfast we will start our journey for the day toward Pangong Lake. We will cross the Agham - Shyok route today. The route is less travelled, but the most adventurous one. Be ready to test your riding skill. Reach Pangong Lake by afternoon. The camps are the best place to stay at Pangong Lake, enjoy the scenic beauty of the most famous Lake, the view from camp is majestic. Spend evening at the bank of Lake. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in camp.
After breakfast we will go to the famous point (Movie 3 Idiots) at Pangong Lake, enjoy the photo shoot at the lake, be ready with your cameras and phone to click pics. The view in the morning will take your breath away. After some fun at the lake, we will start our journey toward Leh. We will cross Chang La today, another highest pass, be ready to witness fresh snowfall at this point, halt for Tea in mid. Start the journey again and reach Leh by evening.
