Exploring 18th Century Palakkad Fort and town known for its unique architecture, music and Kalpathy – the only heritage village in Kerala. Visiting famous VADAKKUMNATHAN TEMPLE, one of the oldest temples and a classic example of Kerala style of architecture to Guruvayoor .Visiting the Edakkal Caves -Wayanad showcase archaeological evidence of the prehistoric civilization that once roamed this region Enjoy visit of Belur and Halebid to view some of the best Hoysala architecture built in the 12th Century .We travel to Mysore, famous for its sandalwood soap, silk and the well-preserved Mysore Palace. Finally, ending our trip to the Silicon Valley of India- Bangalore.

ARRIVE COCHIN

On arrival at Cochin- transfer to hotel. Check in on arrival and lunch. Walk down in old Street of Cochin. Evening we attend a performance of the Kathakali Dance – a dramatic 400-year-old Keralan art that depicts sequences from Indian religious epics. Dinner at local restaurant. restaurant on Fort Street area, where you can have fresh cooked lake fish. Overnight at hotel.

COCHIN VISIT

This morning after having breakfast we make half day tour of KOCHI, where we visit the Pardesi Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church and Santa Cruz Basilica. Evening at leisure, take time to experience some of the local life, people, culture, street food. Dinner -Overnight at hotel.

COCHIN – MUNNAR

This morning we drive to Munnar, one of the most popular hill stations in South India. Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams. On arrival check in at hotel. After lunch walk through a cardamom plantation, followed by a visit to cardamom curing centre. Evening stays for sunset with spectacular view of breath taking scenery of hillsides, Overnight at hotel.

MUNNAR

Day will begin after breakfast drive amongst green rolling hills of tea plantations, cardamon estates and reservoirs and visit of Tea Museum. Later we enjoy panoramic views from Eravikulam National Park which is home to the Nilgiri Thar-an endangered mountain goat. Lunch at local restaurant or picnic with our packed lunch (according to weather will decide). Late noon back to hotel, drive through panoramic views over forests to the lofty peaks of Munnar hills. Overnight at hotel.

MUNNAR – ALLEPPEY

Morning after breakfast we proceed to Alleppey, where we board a houseboat on pleasant Vembanand Lake Houseboats are converted kettuvallams or rice barges. We cruise silently through a network of lakes, lagoons and canals, past paddy fields and coconut palms to glimpse rural life on the backwaters. Overnight on full board on the houseboat.

ALLEPPEY -THATTEKKAD

After breakfast drive to Thattekkad. Check in and lunch on arrival, by 1500 hrs will be visiting THATTEKKAD BIRD SANCTUARY in Sanctuary. Viewing sunset from Periyar River. Thattekkad Sanctuary is the richest bird habitat in semi evergreen forests with more than 250 Bird Species. Take time to experience nature around you. Overnight at Birds Lagoon Resort.

THATTEKKAD - THRISSUR

Skim the early morning mists on the Periyar river to view the dawn activities of Birds. Back to resort for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Thrissur along the coastline to Guruvayoor. Lunch on arrival, after late noon visit famous VADAKKUMNATHAN TEMPLE, one of the oldest temples in the state, which is a classic example of Kerala style of architecture. Drives it Guruvayoor – Krishna Temple and its beach. Evening back to hotel, just stop at Porters village before heading to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

THRISSUR – PALAKKAD

Morning after Breakfast visit the School of KERALA KALAMANDALAM, renowned the world for its KATHAKALI TRAINING CENTER. The music and dance academy were found by famous poet Vai Athoi Narayanana Menon. After visit DRIVE to Palakkad, - known for its unique architecture, music and the chariot festival. Kalpathy – the only heritage village in Kerala. Arrive late noon visit the village to get a glimpse into the life, food, culture of Palakkad Brahmins. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.

PALAKKAD

Today morning will be visiting the 18th Century Palakkad Fort, and a Hanuman Temple on its grounds. Later towards north on the Kalpathy River, the 15th century Sri Vishwanatha Swamy Temple famous for Rath Festival. Back to hotel for lunch. Evening is at your leisure to stroll through the streets of this small town. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.

PALAKKAD - KOZHIKODE (Calicut)

Today after breakfast continue on to the coastal town of Calicut. After we check in at hotel, we visit Kappad Beach where we can enjoy a beachside panoramic view of the sunset.

KOZHIKODE - WAYANAD

After breakfast we leave for Wayanad, a highland area that is home to several tribal communities. Here we visit the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve which is rich in flora and fauna. Drive to Vaythiri to visit the salt water Pookot Lake. Continue another 25 km to reach Wayanad. Overnight at hotel

WAYAND VISIT

Today after breakfast we prepare for our 1 km trek to reach the Edakkal Caves. These caves showcase archaeological evidence of the prehistoric civilization that once roamed this region. After lunch we visit Raja Pazhassy’s Tomb. Overnight at hotel.

WAYANAD – MYSORE

After breakfast leave for Mysore where we have lunch before checking into hotel. Late noon visit to the Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery and St. Philomena’s Cathedral. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.

MYSORE

Morning after breakfast we drive to Mysore. Check in on arrival and after lunch visit the well-preserved Mysore Palace, one of the largest palaces in India. Later Chamundi Hill to visit the 2000-year-old Sri Chamundeswari Temple, dedicated to the goddess of the Royal Family. On our return to the hotel, we visit a Mysore silk factory and a sandalwood oil factor

MYSORE – HASSAN

After breakfast free time at Mysore bazar to shop Silk, Sandwood so on. After lunch drive to Hassan. Enroute, we take in a guided tour of Srirangapatnam. Late noon arrives at Hassan. Check in hotel and take a trip around Hassan town. Evening at hotel.

HASSAN

Today after breakfast day trip to Belur and Halebid to view some of the best Hoysala architecture built in the 12th Century. Lunch at local restaurant. Late noon back to hotel. Evening at leisure. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.

HASSAN – BANGALORE

After breakfast drive to explore Bangalore, the garden city on India. On arrival lunch at local restaurant. Check in hotel. After lunch visit Tipu Sultan’s Palace, Bull Temple and the spectacular Vidhana Sabha. Overnight at hotel.
