Staying in Taragarh Palace – KANGRA is surrounded by tea gardens and snowcapped peaks, the summer palace belonged to the son of last Maharaja of Kashmir. This is the place when the first tea bush was introduced here in the 19th century. Enjoy panoramic views over oak and rhododendron forests to the lofty peaks of the Himalayas.

AMRITSAR

Early morning visit Darbar Sahib Ceremony prayer. As the Gurudwara in Amritsar stays open round the clock, there are no specific Golden Temple visiting hours. The months of November and April are the best time to visit Golden Temple as devotees visit this Gurudwara during Guru Nanak Jayanti and festival of Baisakhi. There are no fixed Golden Temple timings as the holy site is open throughout the day and night. The same is applicable for Golden Temple langar timings as it serves food 24 hours a day.

After ceremony return to hotel have breakfast, later visit JALIAN WALLAH BAGH: Jallianwala Bagh is a historic garden and ‘memorial of national importance’ close to the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar, Punjab, India, preserved in the memory of those wounded and killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre that occurred on the site on the festival of Baisakhi, 13 April 1919. Later visit DURGIANA MANDIR: Durgiana Mandir, is a Hindu temple situated in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. Though a Hindu temple, its architecture is similar to the Sikh Harmandir Sahib. This temple derives its name from the Goddess Durga, the chief Goddess who is worshipped here. Overnight at the hotel.

AMRITSAR - PRAGPUR

Amritsar – Pragpur (180 kms/4-5 hrs.). After breakfast this morning, we will drive to Pragpur, a heritage village in the foothills of Himachal Pradesh. In the afternoon we will have a walking tour of the village. Overnight at hotel

PRAGPUR - DHARAMSALA

Pragpur – Dharamshala (70 kms/2-3 hrs). In the morning drive to McLeodGanj in Dharamsala. On the way visit PONG DAM WETLAND WILD BIRD SANCTUARY: The Pong reservoir, also called the Maharana Pratap Sagar, was created in 1976 by the damming of the River Beas in the foothills of the Himalayas on the northern edge of the Indo-Gangetic plain. It contains several deforested islands which attract a large number of waterbirds. The northern edge is very flat, with mudflats and wet grasslands and attracts major concentrations of birds. Over a lakh migratory water birds arrived at the Pong Dam Lake Wildlife Sanctuary. Later visit MASROOR TEMPLE: The Masroor Temples, also referred to as Masroor Temples or Rock-cut Temples at Masrur, is an early 8th-century complex of rock-cut Hindu temples in the Kangra Valley of Beas River in Himachal Pradesh, India. The temples face northeast, towards the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. After visiting, drive onward. Upon arrival check-in to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DHARAMSALA

Dharamsala Sightseeing. Today explore McLeod Ganj; visit Buddhist monasteries and the Parliament. Wander through the wonderful bazaar with its strong Tibetan influence. In the evening, we will return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DHARAMSHALA - KANGRA

Dharamshala – Kangra (30 kms/1 hrs.). Travel further to CHINTPURNI TEMPLE: Mata Chintpurni Devi is one of the many manifestations of the Supreme Goddess Durga. In this form She is also called Maa Chinnamasta or Maa Chinnamastika - the one with a detached head. We humans have endless desires; desires steer us towards anxiety and worry. The Divine Mother relieves Her devotees from worries (chinta) by fulfilling all their desires. Later you can visit BAGALA TEMPLE: Bagalamukhi or Bagala is one amongst the 10 mahavidyas (great knowledge goddesses) in Hinduism. Bagalamukhi Devi smashes the devotee's misconceptions and delusions (or the devotee's enemies) together with her cudgel. She is additionally called Pitambara Maa in North Bharat. Bagalamukhi Devi is one amongst the 10 Hindu Goddesses of power. The temple of Bagalamukhi is found at the doorway of Kotla Fort close to Kangra. if time allows. KANGRA

From Kangra travel further to CHAMUNDA DEVI TEMPLE: Located 24 km from Kangra and 15 km from Dharamshala is the famous temple of goddess Chamunda Devi (Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham). A stone “Lingam” under a boulder representing Nandikeshwar (Shiva) can be seen at the back of the temple. The temple complex is a beautiful spot with enchanting views of Dhauladhar, the Baner Khad and Dadh. Statues of Lord Shiva and Saraswati can be seen in a running water pool. And leave further for BRIJESHWARI TEMPLE: which is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, the better half of Lord Shiva. A legend says that after Goddess Sati sacrificed herself in the honor of Lord Shiva in her father's Yagya. Shiva took her body on his shoulder and started Tandava. In order to stop him from destroying the world Lord Vishnu divided the body of Sati into 51 parts with his Chakra. The left breast of Sati fell at this spot, thus making it a Shakti Peetha.The original temple was built by the Pandavas at the time of Mahabharata. After Breakfast drive towards Pathankot about 110 km / 03 hrs. On arrival transfer to the Railways Station to board your onward journey Train.
