We step back in time and wander through the red sandstone monuments of Bikaner, the golden sandstone fortress of Jaisalmer, the blue houses of Jodhpur and the pink walls of Jaipur. You will relive the days of the Raj when looking down from fortresses such the mighty Meherangarh Fort overlooking Jodhpur, shimmering Amber Fort outside Jaipur, and the magnificent 14th Century Kumbhalgarh Fort. No trip to India would be considered complete without a visit to one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, the TAJ MAHAL located on the banks of Yamuna River. On our journey back to Delhi, we stop Fatehpur Sikri, an ancient city abandoned just 14 years after being built. DELHI – ALSISAR
This morning we leave for Shekhawati. Afternoon arrival at Alsisar a lovely village in Shekhawati Region. Founded in the early 18th Century, it has a charming and romantic palace hotel. On arrival check into hotel. Later we visit unique architecture and building frescoes of the Shekhawati Region. Overnight at Hotel Overnight at Hotel
ALSISAR - BIKANER
Today we travel to Bikaner where the 15th Century Junagarh Fort with its carved stone grills is now a Fort Museum. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon visit the Fort Museum, a camel breeding farm & local market. Overnight at hotel
BIKANER - JAISALMER
Today after breakfast we drive to Jaisalmer, the ancient capital of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer is known for its havelis (mansions) made from golden yellow sandstone & carved wood, set in the heart of the Thar Desert. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight at hotel.
JAISALMER
Today after breakfast we visiting, Jaisalmer Fort, Jain Temple, Patwaon Ki Haveli & Tanot Mata Temple. Overnight at hotel.
JAISALMER - JODHPUR
After breakfast we drive to Jodhpur. The focal point here is the Meherangarh Fort from where you can have a wonderful view of the city set amidst the desert landscape. Afternoon city sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.
JODHPUR – RANAKPUR - KUMBHALGARH
Today we travel to Ranakpur, northwest of Udaipur, to see superb Jain temples that were built in the mid-15th Century. Afternoon visit to the temples followed by lunch & we drive to Kumbhalgarh. Overnight at hotel.
KUMBHALGARH - UDAIPUR
Today we drive to Udaipur. Udaipur has it all palaces, lakes, temples & cenotaphs. Afternoon sightseeing tour of the city.
UDAIPUR
Today after breakfast we visit the City Palace Museum & then travel to Lake Jaisamand, The largest artificial lake in Asia. Overnight at hotel.
UDAIPUR – CHITTORGARH - BIJAIPUR
After breakfast we drive to Chittorgarh and visit the hilltop fortress here before proceeding to Bijaipur. The 16th Century castle in the village is now a delightful hotel. Overnight at hotel.
BIJAIPUR: Excursion: PANGARH
Today we walk in the hills of Vinyachal range, habitat of many species of birds from the villages and the Moti Pura Lake, we cross savanna environments, sparse forests where rocks and dry grasses outcrop. Pangarh Lake is a soothing discovery: lulled by the songs of birds, we enjoy & relax on its banks where lotus flowers bloom. Afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
BIJAIPUR - PUSHKAR
This morning we drive to Pushkar, a religious town built around a lake. It is best known for its annual camel & cattle fair that turns the desert into a riot of colors. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
PUSHKAR – KISHANGARH
Morning post breakfast we drive to Kishangarh, Kishangarh is a popular tourist destination near Pushkar. A visit to Phool Mahal and Roopangarh Fortress will provide a better insight into the history of the region. Also worth visiting are the Marble Mines.’
KISHANGARH – JAIPUR
After breakfast drive to Jaipur, on arrival check into hotel, later visit AMBER FORT: Amber fort is an old fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. This fort is also very popularly known as the Amer Palace. The Amer Fort was built in red sandstone and marble and the Maotha Lake adds a certain charm to the entire Fort. THE CITY PALACE MUSEUM: The palace complex has several buildings, various courtyards, galleries, restaurants, and offices of the Museum Trust. The City Palace, Jaipur was established at the same time as the city of Jaipur, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber, in 1727. Later we visit HAWA MAHAL (PALACES OF WINDS): Hawa Mahal is a palace was built from red and pink sandstone, the palace sits on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women's chambers. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
JAIPUR - FATHEPUR SIKRI - AGRA
After breakfast we drive to Agra en route visit the imperial ruins of the Mughal city Fatehpur Sikri. We continue our journey to the city of Taj Mahal, Agra, on arrival check in hotel. Afternoon visit Itimad-ud-daulah. Overnight at hotel.
AGRA - DELHI
Today early morning at sunrise we visit Taj Mahal, return hotel for breakfast later visit Red Fort & afternoon drive to Delhi, on arrival Transfer to Airport / Railway Station.
