Here is a tour for all those travelers who likes to experience the sand dunes of cold desert to oldest Gompas of Ladakh to unique high-altitude lakes viewed at dawn take us quite near to Nirvana. There is nothing in this world like PANGONG LAKE or TSO MORIRI LAKE which change color every hour with sun, and the brown hills behind make it appear as if from a Tolkien story world. The Experience of walk starts from TSO KHAR, a Salt Lake in Eastern part of Ladakh and ends at TSO MORIRI LAKE, a beautiful high-altitude lake in Changthang which is also the breeding ground to birds like the Black-necked Crane, Tibetan Sandgrouse, Bar-headed geese etc. The Sand dunes covered with desertions mountain is breathtaking. The Hunder- coldest desert in India or Diskit Gompa the oldest and largest monastery in the Nubra Valley give a spectacular view. Admire the Oldest monastery of India – HEMIS, or Shey Monastery and its village was originally the capital of Ladakh, built by King Deldan Namgyal in 1655.There are hundreds of stupas and Gompas built in and around Ladakh. It is a paradise for tourists, trekkers and climbers.
Arrive at Leh airport, meet our representative and transfer to Hotel, check in and rest advised to acclimatize in the high altitude. In the evening visit Leh Palace, later drop at the local market in Leh to explore the city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Morning after breakfast visit PHYANG: Phyang monastery founded in the 15th century is also called Tashi Chosang, the first established Dingung teachings in Ladakh. The festival of Phyang Monastery is held every year from 17th to 19th of the one month. After Phyang we will visit SPITUK MONASTERY, established in the 11th century, was named by a scholarly translator Rinchen Zangpo as Spituk. Spituk Monastery is famous for its wide and varied collections of ancient masks, icons, antique arms and numerous Thangkas. The Buddhist Monastery is attracted by many tourists during Spituk Gustor. Return for lunch. Noon, visit Stok Palace + walk down from Stok on foot. Free time to explore the local bazaar. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
Morning after breakfast visit HEMIS MONASTERY: It is a Drukpa Lineage re- established by Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal. The annual Hemis festival honouring Padma sambhava is held here in early June. After a small walk above the monastery. Transfer to Thiksey village visit THIKSEY GOMPA Built some 600 years ago, Thiksey monastery consists of 12 levels ascending a hillside .The Gompa contains 10 temples; below the monastery itself is chapels and houses of monks. Also part of a new temple in Gompa containing a large Buddha statue. The H.H. Dalai Lama constructed this Buddha, 15 meters tall, in 1980 during a visit to Thiksey. Lunch at a local restaurant in Thiksey. After lunch visit SHEY MONASTERY, an erstwhile Royal residence up to the 16th century, is located at a small village Shey near Leh on the banks of Indus River and is managed by Buddhists Monks from Hemis Monastery. The prime attraction of the monastery is the blue haired Maitreya Buddha of 17.5 m high, which is made with copper and brass and also decorated beautifully with studs of precious stones. Evening back to the hotel. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
Today morning after breakfast we will drive to visit ALCHI MONASTERY: Alchi Monasteries, are located near Saspol on the Srinagar- Leh road. The primary attraction of these monasteries is, however, their 1000-year old wall painting, which alone makes the visit a worthwhile experience, later towards Lamayuru. On arrival check in to the Guest House. Overnight at the Guest house.
After breakfast we start our short Trek to Wanla for about 3 hrs. Once reached, the vehicle will be ready to pick up us & drive to Leh. On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today we start our journey toward Diskit, enroute visit Khardung la Pass highest motorable road, later we drive toward Diskit. On arrival check in hotel & evening visit Hunder Sand Dunes with double humped Camels you can enjoy camel ride & return to Diskit. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast we will start our sightseeing and visit Hargam, Murg, Ensa, Lake Yarab & Samtanling, and later drive to Diskit. Overnight at the hotel.
Drive Diskit to Pangong Tso enroute visit Afghan Village. It's a small village in Ladakh, but an ideal place to take a break from the journey, then drive towards Pangong Lake. On arrival check in to Fixed Camp. Overnight at a fixed camp.
Today morning, you are free to visit Pangong Lake with blue water situated on the India-China border & after that you will drive to Tso Moriri. On arrival check in to the fixed camp. Overnight at a fixed camp.
Today we will walk around Tso Moriri and visit around Tso Moriri Lake. Overnight at fixed Camp.
Today after breakfast we start our drive towards Tso Khar Lake enroute we visit Tukjee Gompa & later walk at Tso Khar, Tso Khar means “white lake” in Ladakh. The white colour comes from the thick crust of salt surrounding the lake. In the past, the lake used to be a source of salt for the people of Ladakh and Tibet. The lake is a marvelous habitat for a large number of bird species including the rare black-necked crane. Overnight at Camp.
This morning we will drive to Leh for about 4 hrs. On arrival check in to the hotel & Evening Free for local exploration. Overnight at hotel
