The Paradise on earth which has many lakes like Manasbal Lake, Dal Lake, Nageen and Wular Lake. Stare in awe at Asia’s Largest Tulip Garden, and monuments like Pari Mahal within garden are unique. Visiting SHANKRACHARYA TEMPLE. and spectacular view from the temple is incredible. Skim the early morning mists on the Dal Lake while on Shikara Ride . We then head east wards VERINAG – SOURCE OF RIVER JHELUM in Mughal Garden of Verinag, where you can enjoy garden facing lush green thick forest which covered with more than 500 years old thick green chinar, pine trees and evergreen plants. The Mughal Emperor Jehangir constructed an octagonal tank of sculptured stones around the Jhelum spring for which carvers brought from Iran. Can go for a short walk for an hour uphills towards forest area around garden. Daksum is a beautiful picnic spot, situated at an altitude of 2,438 m famous for its trout fishing n plenty of camping spots. Enjoy Day trek to SINTHAN TOP along the Bringi River. Daksum is also If govt. develops a good infrastructure. This valley can be more famous than Pahalgam – Gulmarg!!
ARRIVE SRINAGAR
Arrive Srinagar, on arrival transfer to house boat. Evening Shikara Cruise in Dal / Nagin Lake according to your stay on the houseboat. Dinner / Overnight at a houseboat.
SRINAGAR VISIT
Srinagar Sightseeing visit Mughal Gardens, Chesma Shahi Asia Largest Tulip Garden & after lunch visit SHANKRACHARYA TEMPLE. Evening Shopping. Overnight at a houseboat.
SRINAGAR – VARINAG
Drive Srinagar to Verinag. Enroute stop at PAMPORE – Hub of Kesar (SAFFRON) fields, for a cup of KEHWA (Kashmiri Saffron – spices Tea) and local bread: Tsot- Girda with a scoop of butter to feel the atmosphere of Kashmir. OR may try Tsochwor – dry muffins. Afterwards the drive continues to reach Verinag - Beautiful Valley – blessed with the Source of JHELUM / Mughal Garden with Jhelum streams full of Trout Fish!! Evening cross the road visit beautiful MUGHAL GARDEN surrounded with Thick OAK – DEODAR – CHINAR forest. Visit Shiva Temple/ Source of Jhelum Point within the garden itself. Back to the resort for dinner / overnight.
VARINAG – ACHABAL - VERINAG
Morning after breakfast, we will start our drive toward Achabal, which served as the pleasure retreat of the Mughal Empress Noor Jehan. Situated at a height of 1,677 m, Achabal is a visual treat for the eyes. Achabal is adorned with one of the best Mughal Gardens in India. Back to Verinag by late noon. After resting, Walk nearby forest of Verinag, its village and market. Drive to Jawhar Tunnel point to take some Pics of Verinag Valley from the top. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
VERINAG - KOKERNAG - DAKSUM
After breakfast we will start the drive to Daksum enroute we visit to Kukernag - Kukernag is at the height of (approx.) 2000 mts. from sea level. Place is famous for gardens, largest fresh water springs in Kashmir and for its trout streams. After spending Hour or so, continue to drive Daksum, you are at the top of the world!! Free time on arrival just moves around to feel trekkers paradise. Dinner / Overnight in Camp / Guest House.
DAKSUM DAY TREK
Daksum Day trek to SINTHAN TOP along the Bringi River. Daksum route to Kishtwar, has a wildlife Sanctuary, plenty of different camping spots and move over TROUT FISHING. Explore different points of Daksum in the forest. Overnight Camping. Since Daksum is such a piece of gold, un touristy, if govt. develop a good infrastructure. This valley can be more famous than Pahalgam – Gulmarg!! Dinner / Overnight at Guest House or camping.
DAKSUM - SRINAGAR
Drive to Srinagar after breakfast, enroute stop at Pampore for a short Kehwa break. Late at noon, arrive at Srinagar. Free time for shopping. Dinner /Overnight at hotel.
DEPARTURE SRINAGAR
Morning after breakfast free for local shopping & afternoon transfer to Srinagar airport to catch your onward journey flight.
