Imagine yourself lounging on a Houseboat straight out of the British Raj surrounded by mountain peaks on magical Dal Lake in the Kashmir Valley. Well, that’s where the unique tour begins before we head off to explore Srinagar and delightful Mughal Gardens along with shores of Dal Lake. We then head eastwards climbing 2130M to the hill station of Pahalgam from where we explore alpine villages and meadows while enjoying spectacular views of the Himalayas. VERINAG – SOURCE OF RIVER JHELUM in Mughal Garden of Verinag, where you can enjoy garden facing lush green thick forest. Visiting Kukernag just 20 km from Verinag its called MINI SWITZERLAND, entire valley full of heavy Walnut/ Almond orchids imagine yourself in Swiss Alps just stop for a while and pluck fresh green walnut to taste. We then head to Aharbal Waterfall called “NIAGARA FALL OF KASHMIR” where river Vishnu falls through narrow granite boulders. We head west and ascend higher to the ski resort of Gulmarg where the highest gondola ride in Asia awaits you. it is HEAVENLY KASHMIR !!
ARRIVE SRINAGAR
Arrive Srinagar, on arrival transfer to house boat. Evening Shikara Cruise in Dal / Nagin Lake according to your stay on the houseboat. Dinner / Overnight at a houseboat.
SRINAGAR VISIT
Srinagar Sightseeing visit Mughal Gardens, Chesma Shahi Asia Largest Tulip Garden & after lunch visit SHANKRACHARYA TEMPLE. Evening Shopping. Overnight at a houseboat.
SRINAGAR- PAHALGAM
Morning drive to Pahalgam. On arrival Visit Betaab Valley Evening walk around bazar of Pahalgam. Dinner/ Overnight at hotel.
PAHALGAM – ARU VALLEY DAY EXCURSION
After breakfast drive to ARU VALLEY with its wildlife Sanctuary. 360 degree view of Aru from top of the hill. Uphill short trek. Lunch at a local restaurant. Back to the hotel. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
PAHALGAM - VERINAG
35 Km from Pahalgam, the Village Verinag - SOURCE OF RIVER JHELUM from Shiv Temple in Mughal Garden of Verinag. More than 300 years old thick lush green CHINAR TREES, garden facing lush green forest. Visit this garden with picnic and can stay JKRTDC resort just opposite Mughal Garden itself. The only village where you will find fresh Jhelum water passing through every street, small gali or corners of the village. Good market place 6- km away from Verinag to DOORU TOWN. Walk along forest area of upper hill. On arrival check in to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
VARINAG – SRINAGAR: Enroute visit KUKERNAG BOTANICAL GARDEN (MINI SWITZERLAND)
Leaving Srinagar to Kukernag around 20 km from Verinag one must visit MINI SWITZERLAND, as soon as you enter this valley it seems we are in Swiss Alps , while driving towards Botanical Garden road side orchids full of heavy WALNUT / ALMOND trees, one can just stop car and pluck fresh green walnut to taste, it is HEAVENLY KASHMIR !! Once you reach the Botanical Garden, where you can walk up on the hill to view this garden. Another corner of the garden is the Fishery area to visit, small cafeteria to sip cup of KEHWA before moving to Srinagar. Take fantastic memories of the last two days trip in un touristic places. Evening, arrive at Srinagar. Free Time. Dinner/ Overnight at Hotel.
SRINAGAR – DAY EXCURSION AHARBAL WATERFALL - FOSSIL PARK
Aharbal WaterFall called "NIAGARA FALL OF KASHMIR" where River Vishnu falls through narrow granite boulders. After water fall visit 2 km away Fossil Site which believe its as old as 354 million years!! Return to Srinagar via Avantipura – ancient site. Dinner / Overnight at hotel in Srinagar.
SRINAGAR – GULMARG
This morning we will drive to Gulmarg (meadows of flowers), on arrival check in to the hotel & after lunch can walk to visit SHIV TEMPLE, LOCAL BAZAR, Museum of Royal Palace of Gulmarg. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
GULMARG -SRINAGAR
After breakfast we started our real adventure with a Gondola ride from Gulmarg (2732m) to Khilanmarg, the highest gondola ride in Asia. As Khilanmarg is approx. 600m higher than Gulmarg, the views of the Himalayas are stunning from here. After lunch, drive back to visit Srinagar, visit Kheer Bhawani Temple, KUL DEVI of Kashmir Pandit's. Evening, arrive in Srinagar, and may go for the last dinner at a famous AHDOOS restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
DEPARTURE SRINAGAR
Morning after breakfast transfer to Srinagar airport to catch your onward journey flight. Tour End.
