Mystic Kashmir Tour Package Itinerary : – Srinagar – Verinag – Kukernag – Pahalgam – Aru Valley – Srinagar
VERINAG – SOURCE OF RIVER JHELUM in Mughal Garden of Verinag, where you can enjoy garden facing lush green thick forest which covered with more than 500 years old thick green chinar, pine trees and evergreen plants. The Mughal Emperor Jehangir constructed an octagonal tank of sculptured stones around the Jhelum spring for which carvers brought from Iran. Can go for a short walk for an hour uphill towards forest area around garden. Imagine yourself on a universally acknowledged as “ heaven of earth” – Kashmir !!. Pahalgam from where we explore alpine villages and meadows while enjoying spectacular views of the Himalayas. Visiting ARU VALLEY with its wildlife Sanctuary another spectcular view of the Himalayas. Stare in awe at Asia’s Largest Tulip Garden, and monuments like Pari Mahal within garden. Visiting SHANKRACHARYA TEMPLE delightful view of Srinagar Valley from the top of the temple is incredible, Early morning Shikara ride in Dal Lake is unforgettable Kashmir.
ARRIVE SRINAGAR – VARINAG
On arrival at Srinagar airport, drive directly to Verinag. Enroute stop at PAMPORE – Hub of Kesar (SAFFRON) fields, for a cup of KEHWA (Kashmiri Saffron – spices Tea) and local bread: Tsot- Girda with a scoop of butter to feel the atmosphere of Kashmir. OR may try Tsochwor – dry muffins. Afterwards the drive continues to reach Verinag - Beautiful Valley – blessed with Source of JHELUM / Mughal Garden with Jhelum streams full of Trout Fish!! Evening cross the road visit beautiful MUGHAL GARDEN surrounded with Thick OAK – DEODAR – CHINAR forest. Visit Shiva Temple/ Source of Jhelum Point within the garden itself. Back to the resort for dinner / overnight.
VARINAG – KUKERNAG - VERINAG
After breakfast we start our day excursion to Kukernag - Back to Verinag by late noon. After resting, Walk nearby forest of Verinag, its village and market. Drive to Jawhar Tunnel point to take some Pics of Verinag Valley from the top. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
VARINAG - PAHALGAM
Morning drive to Pahalgam. At an altitude of 2,130m and about 95-km from Srinagar, Pahalgam is the most popular hill resort in the Kashmir valley. Pahalgam is situated at the junction of the Aru and Sheshnag Rivers, and Lidder River runs right through the town. On arrival visit Betaab Valley Evening walk around the bazaar uphill of Shiva Temple. Dinner/ Overnight at hotel.
PAHALGAM – ARU VALLEY - PAHALGAM
Pahalgam is the starting point of the annual Amarnath yatra (holy journey) to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath, which is said to be the abode of Lord Shiva. After breakfast drive to ARU VALLEY with its wildlife Sanctuary. 360 degree view of Aru from top of the hill. Uphill short trek. Lunch at a local restaurant. Back to the hotel. Dinner / Overnight at hotel.
GULMARG - SRINAGAR
This morning we will drive to Gulmarg (meadows of flowers), visit SHIV TEMPLE, LOCAL BAZAR, and Museum of Royal Palace of Gulmarg, afternoon drive to Srinagar. On arrival check in the house boat. Dinner / Overnight at a houseboat.
SRINAGAR VISIT
Srinagar Sightseeing visit Mughal Gardens, Chesma Shahi Asia Largest Tulip Garden & after lunch visit SHANKRACHARYA TEMPLE. Evening Shikara Cruise in Dal / Nagin Lake. Overnight at a houseboat.
DEPARTURE SRINAGAR
Morning after breakfast free for local shopping & afternoon transfer to Srinagar airport to catch your onward journey flight.
